I spent the Sunday photographing The Redbull Timelaps which is a 25hr cycle race. 25 hours because this was the night the clocks went back. I really admire the riders, support crews ad organizers as it was really cold with several periods of rain during the race. It's raced in teams of 4 so you have turns out on track. It's a horrible yet strangely challenging thought to have to cycle for a couple of hours then get cold and stiff and then have to go out again. I wanted to capture the movement and speed of the riders so I used a panning technique which blurred the background. You have to try and pan at the speed the riders pass you so you can keep them relatively sharp. Believe me there were many misses but I did manage to get quite a few shots that I'm really pleased with. Here's just a few so you can see the effect. I hope you enjoy them.
